Compare ITDA Group International

compareMany agencies offer more but may not deliver...

ITDA Instructors use the same materials to train with, as our students receive for their materials packs, this means that both Instructor and Students know and understand our standrds clearly and the theory, training skills and experience required to pass / graduate an ITDA course program.

Our focus is NOT on merely being able to complete a skill to a training objective or minimum standard... But for the student to demonstrate that they are Confident, Comfortable and Competent!

This means that students need to work a little harder but it's really worth it because of the sense of acheivement that comes from knowing that they met the challence and exceeded normal standards to reach an ITDA diver pass level.  As applied to: Theory, Skills Training and Experience dives...

Why Choose ITDA?

We believe that everyone has a right toitda_offers  understand all of the facts before making a decision. If you are a new student looking for your first diving experience or if you are an experienced scuba diver looking to progress your education and training. You should be aware that you have a choice of training agency to certify with, as well as your choice of dive centre / school and / or your instructor.

Because you have a choice?

We believe that you have a choice and that you have to consider the best training and certification that suits your needs, it maybe that you have a dive club or a training facility close to where you live and of course that would be a natural choice...

But you may want to consider changing agencies later when you have more experience or you may want to try Technical Diving, Adventure Diving or even Specialist diving or even look for a career path in diving or involving diving?  All of these are valid points and recognise the fact that you have a choice, do not just pick an agency because they are the only one you have heard of. Be sure they offer what you are looking for.. Because you have a choice!

You decide for Yourself

Learning to Dive: Of Course if you are a student diver just wanting to get your first level certification be very careful as many dive centres may offer you an entry level program as a Try-Dive or Try-Out Dive, and you will pay for one or two dives and a very short lesson but receive no certification... See Learn to Scuba Dive Options page

They will then offer you a certification program which you will pay for the beginner session again as with most agencies the skills are the same....  However if you are unsure of whether or not you want to complete a certification, then the try dive is a good idea...

The ITDA Difference is that we offer entry level certifications that are upgradeable with credit for previous dives and even continuous development programs (where you can complete one program and then begin immediately the next level, or leave a time gap, as you wish...) We also allow multiple certifications, such as completing a course program on Nitrox, you can also apply for Nitrox Certification in addition to the certification you have completed.

Next Level or Sports Diving: Taking a resort program is probably the best idea for the majority of people who just want to dive on vacations / holidays and all the agencies offer these types of programs but beware of the fast track 1-2days certifications as you may learn to dive but with only a few dives experience you may not feel confident or competent about your new skills...

When you are considering this type of training please look for programs with 5 or 6 dives experience over at least 3 days and 4 days better as you will have time to be comfortable and adjust to your new sport. (After all you would not expect to learn golf or tennis, or any other sport in 2 days, would you?)

The ITDA Difference is that we offer flexible Sports diving level certifications, Resort Diver, 2**Star (Cold Water) and Sports Diver - 3-4 Days with a minimum of 6 Open Water dives, and programs that are upgradeable with credit for previous dives and even continuous development programs (where you can complete one program and then begin immediately the next level, or leave a time gap, as you wish...)cave

Adventure Diving: This is often the next stage or some agencies call it Advanced Diving, basically it is getting more diving experience under the supervision of professionals (Which is always a good idea!) and may involve training in different types of diving also elements like: Buoyancy Control, Navigation and Deep Diving to 30m/100ft. etc.

The major ITDA Difference here is that, yes we can offer the same training course but we include in our training at every diver certification level - "Rescue Training and Skills", Plus CPR & First Aid and the majority of our training facilities will offer (all divers taking a higher level program or upgrading a level). A FREE Skills Assessment Dive with a breakdown of how you performed...

This will really help you to have your instructor focus with you on areas in your adventure program or advanced level where you need to improve. Therefore making the most of your investment in time and money...  N.B. Please Note the FREE Assessment is ONLY available for those who have paid in full to the instructor or centre for their training.process

About our Training

Our Training Style is to adopt an holistic approach to diver training, covering more theory, and incorporating more training dives with more skills and including:   Basic Rescue and CPR training...

Giving the ITDA Group Diver more actual skills development and a more total diving experience.

We believe that all divers should be given a basic understanding of Decompression Theory, of course this can be done in a fun and non-threatening way...

We make ITDA Group Diver Training more practical and more challenging, and ultimately therefore more rewarding...
